Team Liquid uses SAP Business AI to optimize esports draft strategy

Esports organization Team Liquid worked with SAP to build an AI draft bot using SAP AI Core to train a generative AI model on data from more than 6,000 professional League of Legends matches and 1.6 million amateur matches, stored in SAP HANA Cloud and running on SAP Business Technology Platform. The tool visualizes win-probability predictions after each pick and ban during the champion draft process, replacing manual analysis and saving Team Liquid approximately 10,000 hours per year.
